Indigos & Parents

The earth is entering a new phase of evolution and as a result we have been blessed with some divine guidance. It comes in the form of a new generation that has been labeled INDIGOS, or Children of the 21st Century or Children of Now. Finally labels that serve the true essence of the individuals who are here to wake us up.

How do I know this? With extensive reading, connecting with those of like mind and identifying as an Indigo Scout I have first hand knowledge of what it's like to be the odd child out, mislabeled by an outdated medical system and having a heightened sense of awareness sometimes called intuition or a sixth sense.

Sadly enough so do many of today's children and they are being mislabeled as ADD and ADHD by teachers, doctors and parents who are at their wits end. The intention is to help from a place of love however in a fast paced society where stress drives many over the edge, our system looks for quick fixes to put a band aid on the truth.

The unfortunate thing is that many parents are attempting to raise these children the way they were, in old paradigms that limit, lie and mislabel, and this just won't work. Children are smarter, faster and more sensitive to the harshness of our toxic environment, over stimulated and forced to be something that they are not. So, please, please, please learn about the Indigos, who they are, what they are all about and why they are here.

To date many great resources are available and these are listed below. In the near future I will begin writing a series of articles to assist children, youth and parents connect with the shift that is taking place. Know that you are the furthest from alone and that it is a good thing to be different, unique and somewhat quirky.

The most important thing is to listen. Take time to connect with the children and the youth in that safety is key for these individuals who don't seem to fit in. Allow them to express themselves creatively, sharing feelings and emotions, and support them when they want to do things that seem somewhat outrageous. They are here to teach us peace, love and compassion and will do so in what ever means they can. It's time to WAKE UP!
